Masia La Casassa de Ribes

Ribes Valley includes the towns of Campelles, Planoles, Pardines, Queralbs, Toses and Ribes de Freser, the economic capital of the valley, and is located in the Ripollès region, in Catalonia, Northwest Spain.
 
The ecological richness of the environment is the main attraction of the area, the water is present in every corner and takes the form of source stream or "torrente". Three rivers converge in Ribes de Freser: Rigart, Freser and Segadell .
The Mountain Goat, the hawk, the chamoix, the golden eagle, sheep, cows and numerous flocks of sheep are the owners of the trees, meadows and high mountains, with its small roads and paths appropriate for excursions and walks in the shade.
 
From anywhere you can discover unexpected and so far unpublished panoramic images, such as the rural architecture that integrates seamlessly with the landscape and peasant witnesses present: from the pens, the Saleras and the shepherds' tents.
 
The Romanesque is the most important vestige of the Valley: from important monuments to small churches that mix between medieval castles and modernist buildings consolidating a well preserved heritage in the area.
 
The cuisine is rich in craft products such as honey, "mets", lactic, fallow deer, cottage cheese, sausages and meat typical of the area, and the cultural offer has plenty of mountain traditions. The natural supply creates an attractive scenery  and the heritage offer is the stamp of different architectural eras that blend into a dynamic tertiary service and a complementary tourism infrastructure.
Biking trails
 
A circular route to one of the most suitable areas for mountain biking in the Ribes Valley.
The itinerary begins in the town of Ribes de Freser, passing through the villages of Bruguera, Pardines, Serrat, Fustana and Batet. Varied route, with exceptional views of the Valley of Ribes, you will go by roads, tracks and streams less traveled and known. You can start and stop in different places.
