Discover The Ribes valley
The Ribes valley lies in the Ripollés region. As well as Ribes de Freser, it covers the towns of Campelles, Planoles, Pardines, Queralbs and Toses. The natural richness of the surroundings is the main attraction of the Ribes Valley. Typical high mountain vegetation covers these little Andes, which are suitable for hiking trips. Amazing landscapes await discovery from any point in the Valley.
La Casassa de Ribes makes an excellent base for a wide range of activities at any time of year in the Ribes Valley. A perfect place for mountain biking, walking or car trips.
The Romanesque is the most important architectural heritage in the Valley, with everything from important monuments to small churches and chapels which sit side by side with medieval castles and modernist buildings, constituting a heritage collection of great interest for visitors. From Ribes de Freser you can visit other towns in the Valley, the Sant Antonio Chapel or the summits of the Puigmal or Taga mountains.
In Ribes de Freser, very close to La Casassa, is the famous cog railway train which makes the trip up to Núria, crossing the Valley in a spectacular journey through forests and beautiful landscapes rich in flora and fauna.
